The journey has begun... and I am way behind with my travel log !So many adventures, wonderful people, stunning landscapes and everlasting memories...Jordan has been amazing.. so amazing that after a fantastic diving trip to Sharm el Sheikh Egypt where I did my 2nd diving license and enjoyed some of the most beautiful sites and reefs of the world (Ras Mohammed and Tiran) for those who know these spots... I came back to Jordan to finish the first round of my "world tour".Plans tend to change as you go along... sometimes because of the people you meet on the road, sometimes because of the weather. I gave up travelling through Egypt, couldn't stand 40 to 45 degrees with a heavy backpack. Oh well! I will definitely come back to this country and see the pyramids some day. My dream to sail on the Nile on a Felouque has to be fullfilled before too long..My heart leads me back to Petra where I had some of the most incredible times in my life with my friend Irene. I must see this stunning site once more and I really miss my "true" Bedouin friends. Bedouins are a mysterious tribe. Great values, wonderful hearts, but fighting for survival, as they tend to be segregated from "non-Bedouins" in Jordan. In addition, the Government is not giving much support... So as a western person and especially a woman one must be very aware that many will try to "be friends and more..." not just for the sake of sheer friendship and attraction. I learned some lessons the hard way, but its all called Karma and life experience. I am very grateful for that.Jordan, more specifically Petra, the Nabateans, the Bedouins and last but not least the amazing desert of Wadi Rum have moved me profoundly. To be continued...love to allDenise
